Spring Art Show: April 9 – 18, 2020 - Des Plaines Public Library Lobby
The Guiding Principles for Teaching and Learning address visual and multicultural literacies, as well as creative thinking skills competencies that students should achieve through Fine Arts.
Fine Arts is a key component of our student's education and development. It's important that students learn the language of the arts, understand how works of art are produced, and understand the role of the arts in civilizations, past and present.
Community Consolidated School District 62 would like to recognize students whose artwork was selected to be featured as part of Gallery 62: Kamila Pasnicki Algonquin, Yanichel Pagdilao Central, Caden Nelson Chippewa, Julia Oleksy Cumberland, Grace Taraszka Forest, Ivy Moon Iroquois, Gabrielle Konsulova Iroquois, Roxana Turadek North, Jazmin Felix Orchard Place, Raymond Hookfin Plainfield, Fernanda Buenrostro South, and Sarah Sanchez Terrace.
The Gallery 62 Art Exhibit was introduced as a way to recognize works of art created by District 62 students under the guidance of district art teachers. The Board of Education presents the original art to the parents or guardians during eighth grade promotion ceremonies.
